Doubly Blessed

"The work of redemption was completed on the sixth day, and as God rested after the work of creation, so Jesus rested in Joseph's tomb during the sacred hours of that holy Sabbath. His followers rested also; for He had ever taught them obedience to His Father's holy law. He had forbidden any ever to think that even a jot or tittle of the law of God could be changed. (Matt. 5:17,18) For four thousand years the Sabbath had been observed as a memorial of creation; but after the Saviour died upon the cross it was doubly blessed, being a memorial of redemption as well as of creation." pg 105

This book has been such a blessing to read. It helps me understand so much more about the important connection to the meaning of the sanctuary and its role in pointing us to Christ. This book is broke down into pretty short chapters with a comparison type review at the end of each chapter.
If you would like to check out the rest of the chapter that I got this quote from - or even the whole book - Here is a link to the book. The quote above is in the chapter The Feast of Unleavened Bread .

So Sabbath is not only a memorial of Gods wonderful work of creations - but also the memorial of redemption - when Jesus died on the cross for our sins and said - "It is Finished" ..Praise God! :O)
