Oh the trouble we get into when we try to compare ourselves with other people.
Sometimes we fall prey to the idea that we should all be alike.
But the people around us - should not be the standard that we strive to achieve.
For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
2 Corinthians 10:12
Jesus Christ came down to earth and lived a sinless life in order to give us an example of how to live our lives. When we realize that Jesus Christ is the standard - it helps us more appreciate our differences from other people and see our differences as beautiful and unique.

ReplyDeleteWell since I need to reminder ever so often - I end up having to write a post ever so often. This is just one of the many traps we can get caught in and sometimes not even know it. :O)
