Another Glance at Grace

Have you seen the move "The Grace Card"?
I watched it a couple of years ago. It is a great movie. I hope I don't give away too much about the movie- especially for those of you who may not have seen the movie yet, but their is talk about a "Grace Card" and here is what it says:
Up until recent events in my own life - I didn't quite understand the importance of these words.
Sometimes it takes a lot for God to get a point across to me and this- I guess is one of those times.

The last couple of years God has really been working with me on learning more about grace- mostly about His grace but also about the importance of me showing others His grace.

Brings us to God

‘For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God’ (1 Peter 3:18). The sufferings of Christ do not bring God to us, as though He needed to be appeased and moved, but rather bring us to God. He saw nothing at the cross that caused Him to love us anymore than He already did. There was no need for change or movement on God‘s part. He was always where He needed to be, very much in love with us and eager to receive us when we would wake up to his goodness and love.”
~Shades of Grace by Ty Gibson pg. 84

Just a beautiful quote that I wanted to share from a book I read recently. Hope you all are doing well. :O)

The Rest of the Story

As a little girl, I can remember playing in the back yard with my sister. I don't remember the particular order of things but it seems that we would hear Paul Harvey talking on the radio and I remember him saying "and that is the Rest of the Story" and then soon afterwards our mother would call us in for lunch. And it seems like tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches were on the menu - I'm guessing that was a favorite of mine since that is the memory that I am recalling. Anyway so today's post will be kind of like a 'rest of the story" kind of post.

I began a new book recently and found this interesting tidbit that I had never heard before so I thought I would share it here- just in case you hadn't heard it either:

Garments of Grace ~From a Fig Leaf Fix to Robes of Righteousness"
By Tim Crosby

"Mary Stevenson was born on November 8, 1922 in the Philadelphia suburb of Chester, Pennsylvania. She lost her mother when she was 6. So her father was forced to raise 8 children by himself during the Great Depression. Mary had some hard times. And so in her early teens she wrote a poem that was inspired by the many things that had affected her young life. She began to share it with others in time of need.

She titled it "Footprints in the Sand." This is the original version, taken directly from her original handwritten copy:

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
IN each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow, or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me, Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there has been only one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
have you not been there for me?"

The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in the sand
are when I carried you."

At age 16 she got into an abusive marriage. She fled with her infant son and found refuge on an Indian reservation outside of Clarmore, Oklahoma. Later she lost her son and spent many years getting him back.

She remarried happily around 1950 to  Basil, a man she called "the love of her life." It was at this time that she first saw "Footprints in the Sand" in print with "Author Anonymous" as the only credit. Several attorneys discouraged her from pursuing her claim to it for lack of proof. Then she fought a war with polio, and an accident almost took her husband, Basil, from her.

In January 1980 she lost her husband, Basil, in his battle with heart disease. She moved out of the home she shared with her family for over 25 years. During the move she came across a small forgotten valise filled with many of the poems she had written over the years. Among all this was a handwritten copy of "Footprints in the Sand" dated 1939 that she hadn't seen since moving into the house in 1959. She was awarded a copyright, and later her copy was authenticated as genuine by a forensic specialist, who dated it as approximately 50-plus years old. She died in 1999.

Those who stand with Jesus never stand alone.

Remember when Jesus told His disciple "You are those who have stood by my in my trials?" Well, that's how justification works. Jesus sees the best in us. As long as we stay in relationship with Him, He sees the potential in us even before we can see it. He told His deserters, in advance, "you stood with by me." He called them faithful even before they really were. Eventually they became what He imputed to them.

"God pronounces us worthy while we are still unworthy."
***************************************************************
And that folks, is the rest of the story!! :O)

The Good News of God's Grace

Since time on earth began, the message of the "grace of God that brings salvation" has been given to us to provide the motivating "hope of eternal lie" (Titus 2:11; 3:7). From the tree of life in the center of the Garden of Eden to the dry ground in the middle of the Jordan River, from the jubilant worship in Solomon's temple to the quiet reflections in Paul's prison cell, the "precious truth" has been set before us. The good news of God's grace (Acts 20:24) is the theme into which the prophets "searched intently and with the greatest care" (1 Peter 1:!0) and was the favorite subject of Christ's teaching here on earth. "So surely as there never was a time when God was not, so surely there never was a moment when it was not the delight of the eternal mind to manifest His grace to humanity."

Here is the matchless truth, expressed in one book of the Bible, but with an abundance of creative pictures: God has put all our sins behind His back *(Isaiah 38:17). He has graven us on the palms of His hands *(49:16). He has clothed us with garments of salvation *(61:10). Our sin is atoned for *(6:7). We are ransomed* (35:10). Healed* (53:5). Chosen* (49:7). Redeemed* (63:9). Forgiven* (33:24).

"Christ has made a way of escape for us. He lived on earth amid trials and temptations such as we have to meet. He lived a sinless life. He died for us, and now He offers to take our sins and give us His righteousness. If you give yourself to Him accept Him as your Saviour, then, sinful as your life may have been, for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ's character stands in place of your character, and you are accepted before God just as if you had not sinned." (Steps to Christ, pg. 62)

This is the gospel of our salvation (Ephesians 1:13), the Bible truth about how we are saved- by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. There are no exceptions. "We are saved by grace through faith in the Saviour's merit, or we are not saved at all." (quote from Helmut Ott, in his book Another Look at Valuegenesis

Sorry I don't have time to have all the verses posted that are referred to in this post - but I did do the ones in the paragraph that has the stars next to the references.

Indeed it was for my own peace That I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
Isaiah 38:17

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.
Isaiah 49:16

I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61:10

With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
Isaiah 6:7

And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Isaiah 35:10

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed
Isaiah 53:5

Thus says the Lord, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the Lord who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You."
Isaiah 49:7

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.
Isaiah 63:9

     And the inhabitant will not say, "I am sick";
The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity.
Isaiah 33:24

A Contrast Between Two Kinds of Love

“A contrast is then pointed out between two distinct kinds of love: The highest form of fallen human love versus divine love. The first is revealed when, on rare occasions, one human being will willingly die for another human being he perceives as good, someone thought to be worthy of such a sacrifice. “But God,” Paul proclaims to emphasize the contrast, “ demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8) In other word...s, God‘s love is of such a quality and depth that it is unaltered by the fact that we are not good. We are sinners, in fact, completely undeserving of even His tolerance, let alone His love. He does not love us more when we do right, nor does He love us less when we do wrong. Such is the amazing nature of the love which continually pulsates in the heart of the infinite One.”
~Ty Gibson in his book “Shades of Grace” pg.69-70

Afraid of Grace?

The quote I am sharing today from Stuart Tyner's book Searching for the God of Grace will be one that in order to get the entire blessing one would need to read the whole chapter, and I am sorry about that, but there is a richness in this paragraph that I hope come through with just this section of the chapter.

"Total dependence is a tough assignment. Obviously, Scrovegni wasn't the first or the last to be overwhelmed by the desire to contribute something to the salvation equation. The impulse to try to change God's mind is a ancient as Cane, as persistent as Sarah's laughter, as quick as Moses' grasping credit for bring water from the rock. Our words betray us. "Make me like one of Your hired servants, we insist, speaking the language of merit so stubbornly that we miss the warmth of our Father's welcoming embrace, the significance of the robe and ring of acceptance, the joy of the opening moments of the resurrection celebration (Luke 15:24). It's almost as if we were running away from the gospel, as if we were afraid of grace, not wanting to be that rich, that forgiven, that assured."

But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,
19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." '
20 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
21 And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
22 But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;
24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry.
Luke 15:17-24

God's Response

Today I would like to share a small portion from this amazing book that I am reading. Searching for the God of Grace by Stuart Tyner. I have been extremely blessed by this book and have little sections here and the marked that I really want to share with you all. I hope that what I share blesses you. I realize that to receive the entire blessing - one would need to actually read the whole book - so if you get a chance to read this book - I highly recommend it.

Have you ever messed up, and then messed up again, and well messed up yet again? Many of us find ourselves in this exact situation - where we just keep messing up. But there is hope! It's God's grace.
What I am sharing today is a perfect example of God's grace and His response when we mess up.

"Esau was angry with Jacob again. And with reason. Again. (See Genesis 27:45.)

After mother's favorite son (Gen. 25:28) had manipulated Esau into giving up his birthright (verse 33); after he had stolen Esau's blessing (27:35); after all the lying and deceit, Esau's grudge was so bitter, so deeply founded, that he began to make plan to kill his brother (verse 34,41).

Mother steps in again and gets Jacob out of harm's way by sending him to Uncle Laban (verse 43) Jacob runs out of the house, heads north (28:10), and keeps running until he gets all the way to the place we know as Bethel (verse 19),. Shortly after sunset, Jacob lies down on the ground, props his head on a rock, and goes to sleep (verse 11). IN the middle of the night, Jacob dreams about God. Surely God was as angry with Jacob as Esau was. The characteristics of God's government - as well as His expectations for His children - include fairness and courage and honesty. So, how will He treat a manipulative, cowardly deceiver? Listen to His words: " 'I am the LORD...I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying...I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.' "(verses 13,15, emphasis supplies). "

Continuing, continuing, continuing...

It's time for another look at "grace."

Grace saves by continuing, continuing, continuing to love to the absolute nth degree. It supersedes guilt as a dominant force. As the law of speed transcends the law of gravity, so the principle of grace transcends the principle of sin. Whereas guilt says, “You are a worthless, rebellious, degraded wretch, undeserving of even one more breath of life.” Grace says, “True, so very true, but God loves you still and sees so much value in you that He literally laid down His own life so you may live.”
~Ty Gibson in “Shades of Grace”

Sublime Reality of God....Grace

“ Grace is the sublime reality of God, who is infinitely holy in all His ways; God, whose law requires perfect obedience; God, who by His mighty power could speak a word to obliterate all that now is and start creation all over again; Grace is this God choosing to forgive men and women who have mocked his holiness, rebelled against His law, and denied His power.
Grace is God sacrificing His own happiness, His own comfort, His own life, to secure our happiness, our comfort, our life. Not because of obligation, but because He loves us. Not because we deserve it, but because He wants to give it. Not because we can do anything to merit it, but because His heart longs for our eternal joy.”
~ Ty Gibson in his book “Abandon Ship”

Divinely-implanted

“The vital point is this: We are saved by God’s grace alone; and the faith by which we lay hold of that grace is itself a gift. Far from anything we can take credit for, faith is the divinely-implanted capacity in the soul to believe in, and act upon, the revelations of God’s saving love. “For by grace are you saved through faith: and that [faith itself is] not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9). “
~Shades of Grace by Ty Gibson, pg 46

I love it- faith, grace, and love - all mingled together. :O)

Intertwined with Love

“God is a very present and pervasive influence in every human experience. No one has ever or will ever be passed over by the passionate pursuit of His saving love. The gravitational pull of his grace has drawn upon every heart, throughout all of history, regardless of one’s level of theological knowledge or religious circumstances.”
~Ty Gibson in his book “Shades of Grace.”

Do you notice what I have noticed? When speaking on grace - it is usually intertwined with love. God's love and grace- wonderful things!! :O)

Experiencing a kind of grace

This week-end I went to a little thrift store in a town nearby. As I walked in the door the lady that runs the place informed me that she was still doing her sale of 25 cents per item - That is except the clothes, shoes and purses - those things were 1.00 a piece. At first my heart kind of dropped because she had this same sale going the week before and I was afraid that nothing new would have been put out with her continuing to do the sale- but I was wrong.

My husband had asked me to look for a filing container that you attach to the wall and can put things into the several slots. And first off I spotted one on the floor. I quickly got it and thought of sending him a photo - but since it was clear - I realized it wouldn't take that great of a photo so I decided to wait. I continued to look and found a couple of neat things here and there. I found a couple of tubs, a crockpot cookbook, a Gardening with Children book and a kind of coat rack - that you put on the wall.
And I was looking just to make sure I hadn't missed anything I looked at the shelving behind where I had found my husband file thing - and lo and behold I found this:
My heart danced! I had seen one in someone's yard and had loved it. I had wanted one for myself but just couldn't bring myself put money towards one since we had a lot of hospital bills we need to get paid off and all.

This gem was not in the best shape- but no worries - my husband was able to reattach the two sides that were really loose or screw all the way out. And I was able to hang it in the tree. And fill it up with birdseed!
I have a couple of other feeders that I want to rearrange, and hopefully by the time that I post this blog post - I will have been able to take care of that. It is just quite chilly today with the wind blowing so I will wait till it is a bit warmer to take care of this job. There are plenty of things to do inside.
I am so thankful that God orchestrated things that no one else got this wonderful surprise while I was oblivious to it being there. There were at least several other ladies in the store shopping while I was there and walking back and forth where it sat. So I really see it a true blessing that this - a desire of my heart- was fulfilled even though I wasn't quick at noticing it.
Once I had it - another lady there commented on how cool it was.
What a true blessing this is to my heart! An "I love you" from God is what I like to think.
Be sure to be on the look out for "I love you's" from God- I think they are all around us - we just don't always take the time to notice them! :O)

Oh and did I mention - it was a quarter?!

Reading a New Book - Highly Recommended

This week I have begun reading a new book. Shades of Grace by Ty Gibson. It is an excellent book.
What I am finding the more that I am reading and learning about grace - the more I notice that it is intertwined with the love of God. And this is most excellent since this is an area in which I struggle sometimes.  So it seems the perfect timing for me to be focused on learning about grace.

I have only read the first chapter in this book and I love it. Hope you are blessed as well! :O)

“ God wants for us to feel after Him and find Him because He loves us with all the energy of His divine being. It is the nature of His love to continually reach out of Himself in tireless effort to secure our eternal happiness, which is only possible as we embrace His love and allow it to flow freely out of our lives to Him and all others.”

~ Ty Gibson in his book “Shades of Grace” excellent book- highly recommended!

And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
Acts 17:26-27 NKJV

When the Heart Softens ~ Me - then/now

This past year has been such a hard one for me. And I think that through the brokenness I allowed myself to get a little hardened. I noticed I did not have as much compassion for others as I used to have. I think that I cried so many tears since my diagnosis that I just ran out of tears, not literally but I was so tired of crying that I pushed my feelings as far back as I could.

My husband and I would watch movies - and at moments in the movies that I would normally need a towel or kleneex I was finding myself emotionless- maybe a bit sad but not at all like I used to feel. But somewhere in the last week or two something happened - I remember the moment but don't remember what led to it. It was like - I can feel again. As I write these words I hope that I am not giving the idea that I turned into a stone wall - because I didn't swing so far the other direction as to become that hardened - I just worked hard to protect my heart. I didn't want it hurt any more. And when you allow yourself to feel emotions deeply - you hurt. Before the diagnosis I had been through some situations that I had felt had totally broken me - but I was wrong. Coming to terms with cancer and all the feelings that go along with it tends to cause brokenness....at least for me it did. And it hurt. I can't even begin to tell you how many tears I cried over the loss of my hair. Some might say that is pure vanity - and it might be. But when your hair is your best feature- it really is hard to lose it.

This is a picture that is actually a couple of years before my diagnosis:
Anyway now I am beginning to feel again. When I am watching "Chopped" and hear of a man who is raising his 3 children alone now because his wife died of inflammatory Breast Cancer last year- I tear up. My heart is saddened for him and his children. And although it hurts- it also feels good because I am beginning to allow myself to have compassion again. I am not afraid to cry. I might not be back 100% - but I know that I am not where I was.
Here is an updated photo of me taken yesterday:

Sorry for the fuzziness. I need to try to figure out what I can do in order to take clearer photos.
I had a hair cut earlier this week. It has been about 2 1/2 months since my last hair cut and I needed to get the split ends off and shape up some.
Notice also that my mole is gone. There is a red spot there where it is healing. So glad that is behind me. Glad I did it when I did- especially when I looked at our insurance website and noticed that it cost over $200.00 to remove it and then about $150. to send the mole to a lab to have it tested- thankfully it was not cancer. Praise the Lord for that blessing.

Anyway I just wanted to write my feelings down and process my thoughts- wish I had have done it when I first noticed that I was allowing myself to feel again - it would be neat to remember more of the details. What ever the cause - I am glad because in order to share God's love with other's it pretty important to have a heart for people. And I had been trying desperately to protect my heart. Still wanting to protect it but wanting to allow God to love others through me as well.

Verses and the Privilege of Prayer

Here is a list of some great verses that a sweet reader shared with me in response to yesterday's post. I wanted to share them with you all here today.

The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.
Psalm 145:9

that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:45

But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
Luke 6:35

Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."
Acts 14:17
****************************************************************************
Ok - I would like to once again.... yep again..... ask for prayers. This morning at 11am Central time. I will be having my mole removed - its a mole that is on my nose - on the right side - up by my eye. I know that God will come through and keep His promise of Deuteronomy 33:25b "As are your days, so shall your strength be." God will supply the strength and courage needed for me for this appointment. He has been faithful all year long.

I also wanted to share something with you all. This year has been full of me requesting prayers. Earlier this week I was talking with my husband and I told him that I was getting tired of having to ask for prayers and that I thought people were probably getting tired of it. He said no- Lisa your true friends are not tired of it - they appreciate the chance to pray for you. And as I thought I about it I begin to understand what he meant. Then yesterday a friend shared an important prayer request about her son. And as I left a comment - I told her "thank you for allowing us to lift your son and family up in prayer." It is a privilege to be able to lift someone up in prayer. It is a privilege to be able to see God work in wondrous ways! And when you are a part of those praying for someone - and you see the way that God answers - you get to feel like you were apart of that. And that is a privilege. I am thankful that I know people who are willing to share their burdens and allow me to help them carry it to the Cross and allow Jesus to carry it from then on. No one should have to carry their burdens alone.

Please if you have a problem and you feel like you have to carry it alone - don't. You don't have to share what the problem is - but I would sure appreciate it if you would allow me to help - by praying for you. Just leave a comment and let me know that you need prayers. I pray for each of you already - but if you need a special prayer - I would be more than happy to pray for you.

And a BIG thank you to each of you who pray for me. I do appreciate it. Have a great day! :O)

"Can an atheist have grace?"

I was asked a question in the comment section from one of my posts about grace and I wanted to share the reply here as a post - just in case anyone else has this question.

"Can an atheist have grace?"

First of all I need to say that I am no expert in the area - that is one reason why I have felt so drawn to learning more about grace - because I don't fully understand it. And to be honest- I don't know if we will ever fully understand grace - this side of heaven.

Now the first thing I did once I was asked this question was to go to google and typed the word "Grace" out to see what it would bring up. I was intrigued to see what the first posting would be. It was from Wikipedia. Here is what I found that was helpful to me to understand grace better:

"grace has been defined, not as a created substance of any kind, but as "the love and mercy given to us by God because God desires us to have it, not because of anything we have done to earn it",[1] "the condescension or benevolence shown by God toward the human race".[2] It is understood by Christians to be a spontaneous gift from God to man — "generous, free and totally unexpected and undeserved"[3] — that takes the form of divine favor, love, clemency, and a share in the divine life of God." This definition from Wikipedia.

From just this short explanation of what grace is answers the question - Yes - God gives grace to  atheist as well!

When I typed out the characteristics.... with and without grace- I noticed something important to note, As I typed out the lists - I could  so see myself in the lists. I could also notice how I am beginning to see a few more of the characteristics of "with grace" now as opposed to 5-10 years ago. Why the change?

Well the best way to answer that question is to share a beautiful quote that I found that helps us understand what grace can do for us:

"John and Judas are representatives of those who profess to be Christ's followers. Both these disciples had the same opportunities to study and follow the divine Pattern. Both were closely associated with Jesus and were privileged to listen to His teaching. Each possessed serious defects of character; and each had access to the divine grace that transforms character. But while one in humility was learning of Jesus, the other revealed that he was not a doer of the word, but a hearer only. One, daily dying to self and overcoming sin, was sanctified through the truth; the other, resisting the transforming power of grace and indulging selfish desires, was brought into bondage to Satan.
Such transformation of character as is seen in the life of John is ever the result of communion with Christ. There may be marked defects in the character of an individual, yet when he becomes a true disciple of Christ, the power of divine grace transforms and sanctifies him. Beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, he is changed from glory to glory, until he is like Him whom he adores."  AA558-559

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18

I am hoping that maybe this post has at least some how answered the question above and if not maybe in some of the following posts that I will be doing about grace that this question will be more fully answered and understood.  So stay tuned. :)

Grace Nuggets

Today I wanted to share a little more of the treasure trove about grace that I found in this book.

"In my continuing attempt to entice you to seek God's grace in your life, here are some "grace nuggets" for your consideration:

Grace is the life of God in your soul.

Grace is an attribute of God sent n search of undeserving human beings.

Grace is the Brussels sprouts of the soul. It may not taste great at first, but it leaves the life sweetened and empowered after it's been ingested.

Grace is pivotal to successful relationships.

Grace is available only to weak people like you and me!

Grace softens men and soothes women.

Grace enables the useless to become useful.

Overtime, grace enables  you to break bad habits and form good ones.

Grace give you the ability to forgive the unforgivable.

Grace destroys critical and negative feelings.

The only way to receive more grace is to give away the grace you have.

Grace makes the life fragrant.

Grace lets you become a Teflon* Christian- it prevents sin from getting a foot hold in your life.

Grace enlarges your capacity to know God.

Grace is what's happening when you're ok - and shouldn't be.

Open your life to Jesus, and you'll always receive grace.

The ideal time to ask for Grace? When that's the last thing you want to do.

What does the Lord require of us? That we learn to be gracious. (1)

1. "What does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8, NKJV "
