Memorial Day...

Hope you all are having a good day! Just a little thought for this Memorial Day- it is a day to remember those who have died protecting our freedom. So thankful for them- especially when in the last few years it seems like we are slowly losing our freedom... But we continue to focus on God and know that no matter what He is in control and we can trust Him to get us through. :O)

Catching Up

So last week I shared how I was looking at my grandson would be able to be on schedule better with me getting him earlier. Well I guess I spoke too soon because his schedule has been a bit messed up since then. Today was another 1 nap day... they are more difficult for sure.

Well I did decide to get our little sandbox set up for him. We got a fresh bag of sand and put it on the deck. We are beginning to spend more time outside. I think that will help us make it through several months of long days through the summer. Just one more week till it is the long days with the grandson. I am doing what I can to make it easier.

So since I had to take an Amazon package to a Kohls in a town nearby - I decided to make it a fun shopping day. My Mom went with me - we briefly looked around Kohls but decided to move on to our other stops- I am glad we did. Prices at Kohls are a lot higher than what I like to spend on clothes. We went to a thrift store and to the Goodwill in that town. I found 2 tunics tops there. On Tuesday my husband and I had an appointment in the afternoon and I was running lower than I like to on gas in my car so I headed to town again. This time I got gas, went by the Dollar Tree - there are a few good prices there but be careful because there are things there that are more expensive than Walmart and/or Aldis's. Then I went to a plus sized consignment store- the one that I take clothes to - to sell. I had $45.00 credit! I found 3 great tops at this store and left the store with money still there in my account for my next shopping trip. Which will be next week! I have an appointment to take some clothes in. So I will continue to have credit when I go in. It is really nice to have that opportunity. I am so glad I went through all of my clothes and pulled out quite a bit- some to give away and some to sell. And I have room in my wardrobe to find new favorites!

Since I spent so much time shopping and have fun on Monday and Tuesday - I made a point on Wednesday to work out in the yard/garden after my grandson was picked up on Wednesday. 3 hours of work and I felt more caught up than I have felt in a while. I am working on my list of things I still  need/want to do. Sometimes you need to get out and enjoy life -whether that takes you for a few hours shopping or a few hours in the garden!

Well I have a few things I want to do before my study group meeting tonight. I think we will only have one more after tonight. I am hoping that our church will do more things like this. I have enjoyed it. I am glad I was able to get things done up and able to get back to going. I had to miss a few there for a while because I just had too much to do. I am reorganized my life. And had to let a few things go for a bit. But thankfully I am catching up and able to go.

Ya'll take care maybe I can find a bit of time next week to get on here and do a bit of a catch up. May God bless you! :O)

Good Morning! :O)

 Good Morning my friends!

So sorry it has been so long since I have shared an update. It has been a challenge to arrange my schedule in order for it to work better. When you have been doing things a certain way for so long it can be difficult to rearrange how you do things. This is especially true when you really liked the way you had your schedule set up. Thankfully it looks like I might have found a new rhythm, well I am at least headed in the right direction at getting my problems solved.

Spring time is a very busy time of year! I have the added responsibilities of taking care of my yard and my garden. I enjoy both of these activities but they can demand quite a bit of time.

In just a couple of weeks school will let out which will mean for me - that I will get my grandson at about 6:30am on Thursday and Friday. This means I will have to wake up at 5am on these mornings. I have decided that I will be proactive and try to move my schedule around now in order to make it easier. I am trying to be more regular in when I get to bed and when I get up. There are certain days of the week when I do not need to be up at a certain time so I don't turn alarms on for those days but with going to be earlier it helps me get up early even though I don't have to be up early. The positive about this new schedule is that when I get up earlier I get more done and that has been so very helpful!

Instead of dreading and complaining about having to wake up so early and those days being longer days at having my grandson I have found some positives to focus on. Not only does getting up earlier help me get more done during the day, but when my grandson gets here earlier, his schedule works so much better. On Thursday(while school is in session) my son takes the other 2 boys to school - about 15 minutes south of his house. Then drives the baby to my house which is probably about 25 minutes north of the school. During this long period (could be longer than stated) sometimes the baby falls asleep and gets a tiny nap which knocks him off of his schedule. That happened yesterday. And it made for a one nap day, at least here at our house. I prefer him having an am nap and a pm nap. It helps me have a bit of "free" time to do what I need to do - like type up this blog post. So with him coming here straight from his house which is only 10 minutes away - he doesn't fall asleep and should get 2 naps. Even if they are short naps like the one he just had.

Well the grandson has already woke up from his nap so I will close for now. I am happy I had a chance to give a quick up date. I hope you all are doing well. :O)

***I have some great videos set up for Sabbath - they are short devotional type videos. I hope you are all blessed! Looking for more videos like the ones I have set up to share! :O)
