Faith and Trust = FT

"Our salvation totally rests on our trust and total dependence upon God."

1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

2. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.    Hebrews 11:6

3. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1

4.  But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.    James 2:18-26

5.  So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

6.   For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. 1 John 5:4

7. casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.    1 Peter 5:7

8. looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.   Hebrews 12:2

9.     above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Ephesians 6:16

10.     knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.    1 Peter 1:18-19

11. The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25

12. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.    Psalms 91:9-11

13. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Psalms 37:3

14. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."    Revelations 21:8

15.     So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.  Mark 11:22-24

16. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."    Mark 16:16-18
