Lukewarm?

This week I am deviating from our little health series, next week it will return.

This week I will be finishing up reading this great book. I have gained a better understanding of many of the parables in the Bible from this book. Yes, I started the other book before I was finished with this book. It was so tempting. It's alright though- I love this book enough I will finish it this week. And it will be added to my special library of books in my reading nook.

I love how this quote gives a deeper understanding to what “lukewarm” means.

“Now, in Revelation 3, we are told that the church in existence shortly before Jesus returns is called Laodicea, and Laodicea is known for being lukewarm. What is “lukewarm” made of? It’s made of hot and cold. But you can’t go by the kitchen sink on that. It doesn’t mean that we are hot on the left side and cold on the right side. You go to Matthew 23, and you find out that lukewarm is made up of hot on the outside and cold on the inside. That is what makes lukewarm. People who are apparently hot on the outside, but cold on the inside- doing all the right things for all the wrong reasons.”
