Tired, but Happy

Here we are at the end of a family filled week end. It was so wonderful to have our Sweetpea - back with her Daddy(even if it was just for the week end). We all had a great week end. I know that every grandparent thinks that their grandchild is the sweetest and smartest kid -And I am one of them. Since it had been 6 months since we had seen her- we were surprised at how much she had changed in that time period and at how much she had learned. God had answered our prayers to protect her from all the negative talk that I am sure she was exposed to - about our family. The transitions was wonderful. Ever since my son and ex were separated - My son S had never had her over night. So we were kind of worried that it would be a rough week end. I warned him ahead of time that it might be hard for her to go to sleep and all, but she did very well. The first night she got to bed kind of late but - it was kind of expect. She went right to sleep in her own bed. And continued to do well all the way through the week end. We are all tired this even but it's a good tired. We all miss her a lot. For so long I had to basically do my best to be strong while we were going through the long time period of not getting to see her and Sabbath evening after we got home from a visit to see her - I was emotional. Today after S left to take her to meeting spot to get her back to her Momma - the house was so quiet and I busied myself with cleaning things up. Anyway I just wanted to drop in and say Hi and to let you all know what great week end we had. We will only get to see her for 2 hours on Thursday and then S will have her again on the 3rd week end. So we have that to look forward too. I just pray that resentments and hard feelings can heal and that everyone can get along. No one has to be pals or anything but it would be nice to get past the bad mouthing and button pushing actions. Good night to you all see ya tomorrow. :o)
