By the time that this post goes up it will be the 5-month anniversary of the changes I have made so I thought I would share about how things are going. I also want to share a few things I have learned recently, and I hope that they will be helpful to you as well.
It's been another good month. Not that everything went smoothly, but that I lost 5 pounds since my last check in. Things did not go smoothly, actually. But I did not let the stress throw me off the path to better health. Here are just a few things that could have possibly (in the past) throw me off course:
- We took care of our oldest granddaughter for 2 weeks - which means a lot more cooking and my schedule being thrown off a bit.
- We had to have the ducting in our attic replaced - we had no idea that we would have to have the attic vacuumed out. We hired someone to do the job- he ended up taking 2 days to do his job - this was because part of the time that we rented the machine to vacuum out the attic - he was pulling the ducts out of the attic - not our job- but a job he was being paid by someone else to do it but on OUR time. Then he decided to take a nap in our attic and wasted at least 2 hours.
- We had to go without heating and AC for 6 days while all this work was being done.
- Putting the ducting in that we were told would go quick took almost 2 full days.
- The guy we had vacuum our attic out- was going to blow the insulation into the attic - but after showing up his poor work ethic - we decided to do it ourselves - we had to go several days without any insulation in the attic till the weekend when our sons could come and help with that job. Thankfully our sons do have good work ethics. And thankfully that job is done and we are grateful.
- I am sure there are more things that I could add to this list, but you get the idea.
I am so very, very proud of you and your hard work!
