So this next chapter talked about being on assignment. Blessing others was an assignment given in this verse:
8Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
1 Peter 3:8-9
8To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; 9not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.
1 Peter 3:8-9 NAS
I gave two versions so it would be a bit easier to understand.
"Living Blessed- what an idea. Living under the giving hand of God. Living under heaven's agenda, not our own. Living on assignment. Huge ideas; all doable, not in my strength but in His."
"When we bless people - and things- we are dedicating them to God for His use and His purpose."
such a good post.
