My Newest Toy

I am sure I have shared with you all how much I LOVE vintage Fisher Price toys! Well last week end my husband and I went to a local Antique mall- we were not able to make it there till Sunday afternoon. I was worried that all the good stuff would be gone since they were having big sales on Black Friday and on Saturday. But we found an awesome toy!!!

Fisher Price Click and Clatter

I had never seen a toy like this till the night before when I was scrolling through eBay to see what all toys they had and I had seen a could like this. So imagine my surprise and joy when we saw this on the shelf!!

I am including this next photo so you can tell how much bigger this yellow guy is than the normal fisher price little people are:

The car is set up where you can put the guy in it on either side. So it is facing the left in the photo - you could lift car up and over - facing the right and put the person in the hole that way as well. I absolutely love it and I am sure my grandsons will love it as well. Oh and it makes noises when you drive the car around!! And you know how much those little guys love to make noises!!!

I paid about $10.00 for this set. I thought it was well worth it!!!

A New Favorite

When I find new favorites - I like to share them with you all.

Last week I had a coupon for $.50 cents off when you bought 2 bottles of this Goya Coconut Water.
So while I was at HEB shopping I bought 2.
I love them! One of the reasons why I love these so much is because they have pulp- which means little chunks of coconut! Yummy!

Later I discovered that Aldi's also sells these- and their price is .20 cents cheaper per bottle. These are not cheap - $1.06 at Aldi's I believe. But they are so good-  they make a perfect treat ever so often! Something great to look forward to enjoying!

Have you every tried these? If so, what did you think?

It's a Favorite

Today I wanted to share a favorite. This is not a new favorite, I have enjoyed Parkay Spray butter for quite some time now. This something great to use when you want the flavor of butter but not the fat of butter on your food. It's amazing what a few sprays of this will do to a piece of toast or a baked potato.

I realize that it is a processed food and might have some chemicals and ingredients that are not the best for me- but this is one way for me to try to lower the fat content in my diet. A high fat diet does more harm than most people realize.

I hope you get a chance to try this something. If you can not find this brand, maybe you can find another spray butter. Good luck! :O)

Favorite Things

So I have a new favorite!
And I also learned that at Christmas time - is a great time to try new shampoos!

So I had wanted to try this shampoo. And I had picked up a shampoo and a conditioner, but thankfully before I left the store - I saw an endcap that had a packaged deal- it had a shampoo, a conditioner and the hair mask stuff- all for just under $10.00! Now that's a great deal because if these  3 things were purchased separately it would cost just over $16.00. So if you want to try a new shampoo - be sure and look around the stores around Christmas and see if you can try it for a deal. And I may have missed out on an even better deal - because if  had have been staying up with cutting out my coupons - I might have had a coupon and been able to save even more money!!

And by the way - this stuff smells awesome and seems to do well with my hair. I am having some issues with static in my hair - and I have some pointers for that coming up in another post. Stay tuned.

Favorite Things

So I wanted to share a new favorite with you today!

So a while back I shared that I was having a problem with my eye lashes on my right eye. It had gotten so bad there for a while that I was even having a hard time wearing mascara. The problem was that some of the top lashes - instead of going straight out or flipping upwards - well they were kind of aiming downward. So the problem was that they would tangle a bit with the bottom lashes and I would have to reach up there and kind of push them apart. I actually stopped wearing mascara for a while.

Then an unexpected source just happened to share with me about some great mascara that was actually very reasonably priced.

So I went and got myself some and I began to use it. It took some time but my eye lashes are beginning to act a lot better. They are not quite curling up like the other sides lashes - but they are not aiming downward, which is awesome!

Anyway I wanted to share with you all what kind of mascara has contributed to an answer to prayer:

I am so thankful to have improvement in this are. I still have a list of 6-7 things that I am praying about that I just have to hold onto hope that there will be an answer to them.

There is one of those prayers - that I may have found some help for- and if so I will share about it on here, but only if it is a success. Don't want to encourage anyone to try a product if I am not sure that it is a great product.

Oh a little note about this Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - is water proof- I think this is one reason it has been such a good thing for me to use. It stays put. So at the end of the day - you still have mascara on! It takes a bit of effort to get it off.  But hey - it is worth its' cost if it stays put. And it is only about $6-$7 dollars. That is a pretty good deal for an answer to prayer! :)

My New Favorite Song---it describes me!

Yesterday morning when the alarm went off - this was the song that was playing. And as I laid there listening to it I realized that it was describing my experience as of late. I hope you will take the time to listen to this. It has the lyrics so you can read them as it plays.

Since hearing this song yesterday morning I have listened to it many times. It's that great of a song. I hope you are as blessed by it as I was/am! :O)

Just some of my Favorite Verses

A friend asked me for some of my favorite verses. Her Daddy passed away just a week or so ago and she is going to put a memorial book together about her Daddy. She is really suffering right now and just wanted some help getting some verses together. So I opened up my favorite Bible and started reading through the verses that I had highlighted and picking out my favorite ones. The ones that had really been encouraging to me - especially over the last year or so. And since I had gathered them together I thought that I would share them here with you all just in case some of these verses might encourage you as well. :O)

"The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."    Exodus 14:14

"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

"As your days, so shall your strength be." Deuteronomy 33:25b

"But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold."
Job 23:10

"Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!" Psalm 27:14

"For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18

"To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth-- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord." Psalm 40:1-3

"Be still, and know that I am God; " Psalm 46:10a

"Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22

"From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord's name is to be praised." Psalm 113:3

"Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path." Psalm 119:105

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3

"But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

"To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."     Isaiah 61:2b-3

"Thus says the Lord: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls." Jeremiah 6:16a

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" Jeremiah 32:27

" 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts." Zechariah 4:6b

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
(In my Andrew's Study Bible - it has a note under this verse that says - I can cope with anything. That really helped me to better understand this verse.)

"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19

"Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8
(This verse is important just by itself- but I like it with the whole section of the Bible as well- shown below)

"6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 5:6-11

You Don't Have to Try

This is a song going around Facebook and since I have been pretty busy. I was only able to finally able to watch it yesterday and thought that it was an amazing message. One that I have thought needed to be spread-even thicker than the message that tells us that we have to be perfect.
Anyway just in case some of you have not had a chance to see it yet- I thought I would share it.

A great song
A great message

One of My Favorite Things

So ever so often I like to do a post to share about a favorite thing.

And luck would have it I have found another favorite thing.
I think I have shared before how I like to use - Airborne - or Walmart's brand of Airborne type stuff to help keep me from getting sick. Well I have had to pay about $5.50 or so for 10 tablets that dissolve in water.

A friend of mine told me about this stuff - Emergen-C
Pink Lemonade flavor! It is pretty good stuff. And guess what?
This box that has 30 envelopes costs less than $10.00. I am thinking it was like $8.97 or something like that. Anyway you can tell it is a much better deal!!

I have compared the ingredients and the ingredient do not match up. They each have their own way of being made but both seem to be very helpful. Anyway I am glad I made this discovery- well I am glad that my friend told me about it because I had tried some a while back(a different flavor) and it was not good.

Anyway so that is one of my favorite things for this week. :o)

My Favorite Things

It's been a while since I have shared one of my favorite things - and I think because it has been a while since I have found something that I thought was one of my favorite things.

But this past week- as I have spent a little more time in front of the TV - I saw a commercial for this Febreeze stuff and actually remembered it when we went by the store for a few groceries.

This stuff smells so good. I have it by my bed and at night before we are going to go to sleep I spray some of it and inhale deeply. Mmmmmm. It is wonderful. They have a few other scents- Warm Milk and Honey and Quiet Jasmine- but my favorite scent is Moonlit Lavender!

Some of My Favorite Things...

I have found something new that I love and I wanted to share it with you ladies out there. A new shampoo!
When I was at Walmart getting groceries on Friday, I was looking down the shampoo aisle. I was just wanting something new. Well I saw this shampoo and then for sure when I noticed it had a coupon that said buy the shampoo and get the conditioner for free - I was hooked!

For $4.97 I was able to get both bottles. But that was not the best part.

Nope~ The best part was when I tried the shampoo for the first time. Oh, Oh It felt so luxurious! The shampoo is kind of thick and creamy. When you rub it between your hands it actually feels silky! And when I applied it to my hair - it kind of foamed a bit and felt so good in my hair. I am VERY happy with it. This is certainly going to be a favorite of mine.

Anyway I just wanted to share. And since I am sure some people might think - that I would be doing this for money - nope. That is not my intent for my blog. I just like to share some of my favorite things with you all.

My Favorite Things..

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite things.

Several years ago, my husband bought me a Sony Under the Cabinet Radio for our kitchen. I love it. I love that I can preset stations and just hit what ever button to get to the station I want to listen to. It is also a CD player and has a weather radio station on it. It sounds great too. And it does not take up much room for what you get.

I had told my husband that I wanted one of these radios for my sewing room. So when Mother's Day came along - guess what I got? Yep- I got one for my sewing room. It is great! Well worth the money.

What are some of your favorite things?

Favorite Things

Today I just wanted to share some thing that I try to keep on hand all the time. Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover. This stuff works great. You have stains on your carpet - just spray it on - use a wet wash rag and scrub the area and then normally I get a dry cloth and lay it over the spot and step on it and let it sock up the excess cleaner.
We have 5 cats - 4 that are inside cats and believe me - this stuff cleans up the messes that they cause- throwing up and hairballs. You can spend a lot of money on a lot of different products but I think this one is most worth the money spent on it. :o)
