My Best Deal

Last Tuesday I was able to check out my favorite, local thrift store. And I hit the jackpot!! 

I LOVE Tupperware! 

When I say Tupperware - I mean actual Tupperware products. 
Many people refer to any plastic storage things as tupperware - and that is just wrong - in my opinion. 

Tupperware is a clearly a step (or more) above plastic storage options. 

Anyway as I was looking at the stuff outside of the thrift store - I found 4 about brand new Tupperware plates!! I was so excited!!  

 The colors in this photo are slightly off - the orange and green for sure are more to a true green and orange color. 

Them being about brand new condition was great but the best part is that I only had to pay $1.00 each!! 

What a deal!!! 

My Best Deal

I actually forgot to get a photo of the actual purse I bought - but it was exactly like this. It had brand new tags on it. I bought it because I thought it was so cute but felt that since I am over 50 years of age that maybe I might be too old to use it - so I actually gave it to our oldest granddaughter for her 13th birthday along with a few other odds and ends and money, of course! 

 How much did I pay for this cute purse? 

 Only $2.00!!! 

My Best Deal

 Sometimes when I am thrift store shopping I find things that I hesitate about getting. This is one of the most recent things that I struggled a bit about whether to get it or not. It wasn't because I didn't want it - it was because I couldn't think of where I would store it. It is an 8 cup Pyrex glass measuring cup! And awesome find for sure!!! 

You can look up prices - but they can be pretty pricey. When I did a quick search - I saw anywhere from $12.98- $34.99. And then you might have to pay for shipping one some of those prices. 

Anyway I thought the $5.00 that I paid for it was a great deal!!! :O)

Oh and by the way - I did find a good place to store it and I have already used it several times!! 

Best Deal

See the bag in the background? I got it for free on this shopping trip. You probably saw it on another post - I found several awesome deals on this one trip. I found the bag in the store - wanted to get it so I loaded it with my treasures and when I checked out - the sweet lady said I could have it! Awesome!! 

Now onto our best deal of the day! This Vtech spin and learn flashlight!! When you spin it - it changes colors of the light it gives off! And has all sorts of learning things about it!! Saw it several places on the internet for anywhere from $9.99- $20.00! 

 But I only paid $1.00! What a Deal!! 

I love finding great deals. It makes it where I am able to have a good amount of awesome things here for our grandchildren to play with - without spending a whole bunch of money! 

My Best Deal

Sometimes I find things at thrift stores that I have no idea I even want! That is one of the funnest things about going to Antique Malls- walking around till something captures my attention!! This is what happened at my favorite little thrift store recently. I was looking through a container of a few cookie cutters. I am so thankful that I even looked because I was NOT looking for cookie cutters but something told me to look through the container. And I found these two little treasures!! 

I love raggedy Ann and Andy!! 

I had no idea that these had been sold back in the 1970's! But I am SO happy I found them!! 

at only 50 cents each - I got a GREAT deal!!! 

 

My Best Deal

About a month ago I noticed this box in the storage room of my favorite little thrift store. I instantly knew I would want it if the price was reasonable. At first one of the helpers seemed to think that they would wait till summer to sell it but thankfully the very next time I went to the thrift store - it was out and ready to sell!! My lucky day!!! 

So I looked this up on Target and they were asking $42.99 for it!!! You can find it cheaper a few other places but then will the shipping add to this price? Maybe. ,,,,

Anyway I thought the $10.00 that they asked was VERY reasonable!! 

And the awesome thing is that even without water - all of my grandkids have enjoyed it!!! 

 

Best Deal

So it is a good thing that I have found some great deals over the last several weeks and just had not had the chance to get posts written up about them because last week I did not get to do any fun thrift store shopping. :O( 

This first toy is a Baby Einstein toy. I thought it was amazing. It is a wooden surface and yet it is touchable and does all sorts of things - tells about colors, animals, musical instruments and it also have a couple of different language options! What a great toy!  

I am sure this can be found at all sorts of different prices- I just screen shot one of the options. 

So the $2.00 that I paid for this was a great deal!! 

 

Best Deal - This Rarely Happens!

So an awesome thing happened a couple of weeks ago at a local Goodwill store. I had finished looking through the clothes and started looking elsewhere and picked up the box below - "Splash EZ" and looked over the box and all of a sudden I realized that this was something that I had in my Amazon wish list! 

During the summer I had seen this cute little wading pool and I had thought it would be awesome for our new little grandsons! And so I had added it to my wish list. I had hoped to find it on sale sometime throughout the year. Well I found it for even a better deal than what Amazon would ring it up for! I was thrilled! I look forward to such times of finding things I really want to get but just don't really want to pay full price! 

 The price I paid? 

$3.29!!!

Best Deal

 Good Morning! I hope you all are doing well. :O) 

Today's best deal is an awesome one! I love finding great Tupperware things at thrift stores. And to be honest ever since 2020 there really hasn't been very many Tupperware pieces out there, that I have found anyway. So imagine my delight when I found this great piece!!!  

Now some people call any plastic storage container - tupperware. I do NOT. There is a huge difference between you average plastic container and Tupperware! This stuff lasts a LONG time. I have things that I won from having a Tupperware party just before I got married 34 years ago and it is still in excellent shape, and Yes I use them often!! 

This holds 8 1/2 cups! 

On Ebay this size runs $18 plus dollars 

I paid $2.00!! 

What a great deal!!

My Best Deal and A New Favorite Artist

Since I have not been able to keep up a lot of posts for the week - I decided to change my Best Deal Posts to Mondays. This way my posts are spread out a bit. :O) 

So today's Best Deal - is a special one! It is the one where I share about finding a favorite artist. 

Again - I found this at the little thrift store nearby. 

I have learned when looking through Thrift Stores it is best to take your time and go back and check out an area you think you have already checked out. I have been lucky several times lately in fact by doing this. This was one of those times. I found this beautiful piece of art work!!! 

Because of the glass and not having the best lighting in my bathroom - it was super hard to get a good photo of this beauty. So that is why I am sharing 2 different photos of it. 

When I picked it up I knew I loved it but I had NO idea where I would put it and realized that I was at a point where in order to put something new up - I would have to take something down. But that did not stop me. No, I loved this enough to trade it out with something less loved. 

Once I got home I took  a photo of photo of the artists name - so I could enlarge it to see it. 

There was a tag on the back of this that had price tag of $9.99  

How much did I pay? 

$1.00!!

I am sure I can find more copies of his work if I just keep and eye out - and be willing to spend a bit more for them. At thrift stores you can get great prices - but when something is really pretty - they usually want a bit more $$ - but if I know if it by this artist and I love the artwork - I just might spend the extra money for it!  

Just a little information I found on line I thought I would share. 

He is known for being a painter of flowers which is why I love his artwork so much!! 

So he is now on my list of favorite artists which also includes Thomas Kinkade, The Painter of Light.

Best Deal

How fitting that today - Christmas day - my best deal would be a beautiful Christmas decoration! 

I found this at my favorite little nearby thrift store. It is only open 3 days a week for only 4 hours a day and so it is a bit of a challenge for me to get there sometimes since I am taking care of our grandson at least one of those days and on another day I end up with appt, running errands, or taking MIL to Dr apt. But thankfully I was there and able to get this great item! 

The older I get the more picky I am getting about my Christmas decorations. Over the last year or 2 I have actually gotten rid of at least half of the things I had- only keeping things I really like a lot! 

This treasure was new in package - sorry I didn't get a photo of that - I was in too big of a hurry to pull it out and put it up.

Best Deal

 I actually have a Best Deal to show you this week!! Yay!!! This weeks best deal came from Aldi's. 

I had seen these off and on the last couple of months. I thought they might be neat but I certainly did not think that they were worth spending very much money on. So I passed them up. But last week I saw them in a box with a sign that said $2.29 and I was like - well yes! They are worth that much money! I put them in my basket- I did ask the cashier specifically if they were really $2.29- she said yes. So I got them. 

A friend asked on Facebook - what they were- my husband almost responded that they were salad tongs....lol but sadly I had already responded with they were to use to scoop up leaves and such. 

Anyway so my best deal only cost me $2.29 - what a deal! :o)

Best Deal

 A couple of weeks ago - I had a chance to go to the little thrift store nearby and I found the baby toys - which was awesome but I found this awesome kitchen gadget. It is a Pampered Chef Easy-Read Measuring Colander. 

I tried to look up the new price on Pampered Chefs page - but couldn't find it. I did find one that someone was selling on Poshmark for $23.00! 

So when I got this for $1.50 - I felt I got a great deal!!!

My Best Deal ~ 2 for 1

It's a 2 for 1 day - 2 great deal!!  

Today I promised a great deal that is NOT a baby item. It is something that I have wanted ever since I saw my first one. Funny thing is I had no idea what it was when I first saw it just a few years ago. We were at a museum and it was hanging on the way. I thought it was awesome and have seen a couple here and there at antique stores but they always wanted a pretty penny for them, so I passed them up. But this one I couldn't pass up. 

My husband and I were walking through a local antique mall on our anniversary and all of a sudden I saw it! I picked it up and was debating about getting it or not and my husband took it from me and said we are getting it. He knew I had wanted one for quite some time. 

I love these old rug beaters!! Especially the ones with hearts, my favorite!! I thought the price tag said $17.00 but when I got to the front I got it for $12.00!! Yay!! 

And the 2nd best deal - the comforter in the back ground!!! I was at my local thrift store a couple of weeks ago and they had a black bag full of a comforter, sheets, dust ruffle, pillow shams. I loved the set, especially this comforter. I had been looking at getting one and they were pretty expensive - plus when you buy online you can't feel how it feels. So when I found this set I bought it - i knew it was big so I was figuring queen or king. Well when I got home I discovered the set was a king sized set -but the quilt fits on my bed great! I would rather have overhang then too short - so I kept the comforter and I donated the rest back to the thrift store. I only paid $12.00 for the set and I feel that is an awesome deal for a perfect comforter for my bedroom! It has colors I love in it - especially the greens - that is one of my most favorite colors!! 

One day when I was looking at the comforter I realized that it had the green and purple that match some bathroom towels I had bought from same thrift store months before and I just marveled at the fact that God helped bring all this together without any real effort on my part. What a special gift from God!!

My Best Deal

So this weeks best deal came from the local little thrift store that I enjoy going to when I get a chance. Thankfully I dug down in the tote that had toys because I found this awesome toy for our grandsons to play with. 

Since I take care of one of our grandsons 3 days a week now - I need to have a good selection of toys for him to play with, but I don't want to spend a lot of money. Thankfully this awesome toy that makes a great amount of noise with its bell in the little blue ball inside- the grandson loves it - probably one of his favorites! 

 And for only 75 cents - I think I got and awesome deal!!!

My Best Deal

 Wow - it has been a really long time since I have had a best deal. That is basically because I have much less time to get to the thrift stores to find the deals. But luckily for me, I have actually found a few good deals lately and I will do my best to get them posted. 

I decided to change my Best Deal posts to Thursdays. Since I am not posting something every day - my posts will be spread out. 

Todays deal came from a local Goodwill store - it was a bit of a gamble but ended up being well worth it. A gamble because it is an item that takes a battery and so I was not able to make sure it would work or what it actually did till I got it home to try it out. But just a couple of AA batteries and it is as good as new and just needed me to wipe it down with disinfectant wipes. 

 And for just $2.99 we have a cute little noise making, light up toy that our grandson loves!! 

I love getting baby toys and such for great deals. They don't use them a long time so it is best to find great things at great deals - and then you can pass them on to other people to use or donate them again. :O)

My Best Deal

 This great toy was found last week! When I saw it - I almost didn't even open it up - because I was afraid that I would not be able to get it closed. Glad I opened it up. It is an awesome toy! So much creativity will be had by the grandchildren with this great toy! When I looked it up - I saw it as high as $75 -several places lower. 

I think we got a great deal for $8/00!!

My Best Deal

 On Monday the 14th of February, yes Valentine's Day, I went to Winco. What an exciting life I lead, right? It beats what I was doing back in 2014 on Valentine's Day - my 3rd Chemo treatment out of 6. I will take a trip to Winco over that any day! 

At Winco they have a little area that sells clearance things - I am so glad that I found this little area because ever so often I find great deals. This week it was this pancake mix!! 

One of the best parts about this pancake mix is that it only requires an addition of water to make the pancakes! And what makes this my best deal - is that for a 1 pound package - I only had to pay 78 cents!! What a great deal!! :O) 

Best Deal

 Yay! With the help of my husband scraping and tossing some of the ice that was behind my car - I was able to get out and to my favorite little thrift store on Tuesday. While I was there I noticed an ice bucket - and I picked it up and was tempted to buy it for a special purpose I had. Thankfully I kept looking because I found this Tupperware Ice Bucket - and it will work perfectly for the job I had in mind. With its ability to seal up tight. 

So years ago we had a little box that would scoop the poop and dump it into a plastic container. Well the little box broke but we had the plastic containers. So I have been just scooping and putting the waste into the plastic container and putting the lid on. Well my very last set was tearing up and I knew I needed to start looking for something to put the litter in. And when I saw this and I tried the lid and realized that it would lock tight - I knew it would be perfect for the job!! And have enough room to hold the contents from Tuesday till Friday - the 2 days I gather trash. Anyway I was very pleased with this find - especially when I was only charged $1.00 for it! 

I have looked on Ebay and $13.50 is the very cheapest I could have gotten it - and yes that is with shipping - but still- I got a great deal!!!
