Heaven

Yesterday I talked about the great controversy, well this is the good news. For those who choose God and believe upon Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, there will be an eternal reward. Well worth any trouble that we may have to go through here on earth.

I am so thankful for the Bible. It is God's love letter to us. It is filled with so much information that we need. And when we have questions -it is a good idea to go to the Bible and look up the answers. That is the reason why God gave us the Bible. He has filled it with truth and when we want truth- we need to go to the source of truth.

So what will heaven be like? There is some awesome information in the Bible about heaven - all we need to do is look.

"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." 1 Corinthians 13:12

"For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me," says the Lord, "So shall your descendants and your name remain. 23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me," says the Lord." Isaiah 66:22-23

"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:1-14

"Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert." Isaiah 35:5-6

"But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Revelation 22:1-2

"But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
1 Corinthians 2:9

Isn't that some amazing information. Our finite minds can not even come close to imagining what a perfect world would be like. That is why I am thankful for the Bible and the information we can gleam from it if we will only open it up and read. Of course, we have a better chance of understanding it if we will ask the Holy Spirit to help us as we study the Bible. God gives us wisdom, all we have to do is ask!

If you want to read more about heaven - refer to Revelation 21 -there is a lot of cool information. Don't take my word for it - check it out for yourself. :o)
This is me - holding some photos that me and some of my classmates made of some of our thoughts of what heaven and the throne of God would look like.
