And Now - Only 17
Here is a photo of my chickens enjoying the water that I am running through their dry creek bed. As I have shared before, I do this at least once a day. Sometimes I need to get the chickens fresh water in their containers so those days I do it more than once. I am doing everything I can to help my chickens make it through this hot, drought that we are having. But even so, on Sabbath morning- when I was letting my chickens out and feeding them - I found one of my buff chickens dead. :o ( Both my husband and my son were gone for the week-end - so I had the not so much fun job of getting and disposing of it. We are now down to 17 chickens. My Brother and Sister in law lost a chicken this past week too. So I am not the only one. I pray that this is the last one that we lose this summer. I am also praying for some rain. We need some desperately.

I am so sorry you lost a chicken! Know that Jesus is sad about it as well--remember, He sees when a Sparrow falls. That must mean He sees and cares about chickens as well! I'm praying for a break in the heat for you, and for rain as well.
