Daisies

Daisies, white and yellow,
Bloom in low estate,
Unassuming creatures
Near the garden gate.
Casting forth their shadows
To protect the dew
From the sun that rises
In a sky of blue.
Dainty, shy and blushing,
Nature's common pet,
Constellated flowers...
Stars that never set.
